About Elken Design Studio

Elken Design Studio designs residential and commercial spaces that commits to the wellbeing of the people inside and also the health of the planet around them.

Our starting point is a simple observation: what a space is made of matters. The materials around us — on our walls, under our feet, in the air we breathe — shape how we feel day after day. So we choose them with care, favouring what is natural, non-toxic, and honestly made over what is merely convenient.

Whether the project is a family home, a workplace, or a renovation of something loved but tired, we bring the same discipline to every decision. Materials are chosen for their origin as much as their finish. Details are resolved so they last, not just so they photograph well. The result is a space that feels calm and considered because it is.

We also believe a space shouldn't cost the earth its health to protect ours. Every project is an opportunity to build with less waste, source more responsibly, and leave a lighter mark, without compromising on how the finished space looks and feels.

We work closely with our clients from the first conversation to the final walkthrough. Some come to us with a clear vision that needs shaping; others with little more than a floor plan and a feeling.
