Real cork bark, sliced into fine veneers and laid by hand onto a wallpaper backing. Because the pattern comes from the bark itself rather than a printer, every roll is slightly different, with the grain, pores and colour variation of the tree it came from. The surface is warm to the touch, softens echo in a room and naturally resists dust and moisture. Choose from more than 35 natural cork patterns, over 25 hand painted colours, washed effects and a flecked collection, all made in Portugal.

Product Care

Wipe gently with a dry cloth. Do not expose to prolonged direct sunlight, allow prolonged contact with liquids, or use abrasive or solvent based cleaning products. The protective top coat makes the surface water resistant, but it is not washable. CoFlora recommends applying their maintenance kit once a year.

Installation & Application

Hang like traditional wallpaper. Walls should be clean, smooth and dry, and a primer improves adhesion. Use a standard wallpaper adhesive and avoid solvent based glues. Trim edges with a sharp blade. For some colours and patterns, a double cut at the seams gives a cleaner join.

Best for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways, offices and commercial spaces. Avoid areas with high humidity, condensation or grease, such as bathrooms and kitchens.

Because each roll is handmade from natural cork, rolls ordered later may differ slightly. Order everything you need at once, with a little extra for trimming and matching.

Meet The Maker

CoFlora was founded in the Netherlands by Dana Liv, who came to design through environmental science. She works with rural artisan communities in Portugal, where cork is stripped by hand from the bark of living cork oaks and grows back every nine years without a tree being felled. Trained artisans, many of them women paid fair wages, slice the bark into fine veneers and lay them piece by piece onto a backing. The result is a surface that carries the real grain of the tree, made in a way that keeps cork forests valuable and standing.

Cork is one of the few materials that gives back more than it takes: the bark regrows, the trees stay put, and the forests store carbon while it does. CoFlora turns it into something you can live with every day, soft and warm to the touch, naturally water repellent and quietly sound absorbing. Each roll is cut from real bark rather than printed, so no two are the same, and the glues are water based and free of harmful substances. It is a material we would happily put in our own homes.
